We at Home2Home believe everyone deserves the joy that cat guardianship brings! We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if Cheddar sounds like the cat for you, we ask you to nominate your adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!

If you're after a companion who’s equal parts quirky housemate and loyal best friend, Cheddar might just be your girl. She’s got a playful spark, a love for sunshine naps, and a knack for knowing when you need a little extra love. Independent but affectionate, she’s the kind of cat who’ll curl up beside you one minute, then zoom off to investigate a mysterious noise the next.
Cheddar is hoping to find a calm, pet-free home where she can truly shine. She’d love someone who appreciates her unique mix of smarts, sass, and snuggles—ideally an experienced cat person who understands that sometimes the best friendships come with a side of cat grass and cheeky gifts (yes, she’s been known to proudly deliver the occasional squishy ball!).
She’s not one for chaos or crowded spaces. Loud dogs, busy homes, or other resident pets? No thank you. What she does love is outdoor access for safe exploring, a clean and open litter setup, and someone who gets that her funny habits—like grooming you during pats—are just part of her charm.
Cheddar fills her days with sun-drenched naps, tunnel time, and window surveillance (she takes neighbourhood watch very seriously). She’ll follow you around the house, always close by, with her soothing purr and expressive eyes making even the quietest moments feel special.
For the right person, Cheddar will be more than just a pet—she’ll be your loyal sidekick, your personal comedian, and the keeper of your coziest spots. If you’ve got a peaceful space and a heart ready for a one-of-a-kind cat, Cheddar’s waiting to move in and make it hers.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
