About Bonded Mum & Son- Odie & Yuki
Mum Yuki, and son Odie, are a bonded and beautiful pair who would love to find their forever home this Christmas!
They would be a wonderful addition to the life of a working couple looking for a pair of dogs to keep each other company while they work, and take on adventures on weekends. Or a family with grown up kids and a large yard or acerage,where its clear the joy of a pair of dogs loving the space with them will complete the family.
Yuki and Odie love to run around playing tug-a-war with their toys, cuddling, and spending time with their foster mum. They will be at their best if given the chance to increase their socialisation with other dogs through a series of group obedience classes where they and their family can bond and learn to be a great unit together, ensuring the dogs are at their happiest and the family at their most knowledgeable about bringing 2 largish dogs into their lives It's important to us that this adoring pair are provided the opportunity to stay together and to us that means investing in the whole family having some training together :)

💕 ABOUT OUR ORGANISATION
As well as working with dogs, Sunny Days runs Victoria's only specialised stray cat rehab facility in Avalon, Vic. Our rehab centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is in constant demand due to the sheer number of cats born wild, and dogs no longer wanted.
💕 HOW ARE WE FUNDED?
Despite the demand, we have no source of ongoing funding. Unlike public pounds who enter into contracts with local councils to be the facility responsible for housing lost animals in that municipality, volunteer-run shelters like ours do not receive any government funding, we are left to fund our work through our own pockets and community donations.
💕 UNABLE TO ADOPT OR VOLUNTEER BUT WOULD LIKE TO HELP?
We receive adoption fees from the animals we rehome however these are rarely, if ever, enough to cover what we spend to prepare them for new homes. Aside from adoption fees, we receive no other source of funding except donations from our community, which are invaluable to our work. 💕 OUR WORK WITH CATS
We take in full cat colonies, pregnant and nursing mothers, ophan kittens, FIV positive cats, and sick or injured cats. Cats are humanely trapped after being identified as un-owned and we support them through full rehabilitation from wild and unhandleable to fully domesticated. We don't give them deadlines to be socialised by or they'll be euthanised, we provide sanctuary for them for as long as they need.
💕 OUR WORK WITH DOGS
We take in dogs from community surrenders, booked for unnecessary euthanasia by owners but vets have intervened and contacted us, or rescued from pound death row. Most of our dogs are with us for extended periods to ensure we know them really well before putting them up for adoption, and have been assessed by professional dog trainers if not worked with extensively. We provide full discretion with adopters about dogs' health and behaviour, unlimited 24-hour support, and a month-long fully refundable adoption trial to ensure dogs are given the best chance to integrate into new homes, families and lifestyles.
We also offer a lifetime guarantee to take any of our adopted cats and dogs back should something happen and their adopters are no longer able to care for them.
