About Daisy Kumara
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:
https://www.victoriandogrescue.org.au/adopt/
Daisy is a sweet girl who is just coming out of her shell as she gets more comfortable and familiar with her foster family and surrounds. When she came into our care, Daisy was quite unsure and she still is wary of the world around her, getting startled easily when out and about. Despite this, her confidence is growing each day and she loves to chase and play with her foster doggy sibling and to play with her ball.
Daisy is house trained, apart from the occasional marking and can use the dog door. She has learnt to sit in a very short time and we continue to work on other basic commands which we are sure she will master quickly. Daisy is getting used to walking on lead. When she meets dogs when out and about, she is happy and interested in engaging if they have a friendly nature. If the other dog is barking or doesn’t respect her space she gets spooked and will bark and try to back away from them.
Daisy will need a home where she will have company for most of the time as she really doesn’t cope well on her own. Her new family will have the patience and understanding to help Daisy as she learns to trust and feel safe enough to enjoy life without worry. She would be happy to share her new family with another dog.
This amazing girl is discovering life really can be wonderful and full of love and fun. Daisy is loving her new journey, will her forever chapter be with you?
Daisy is untested with cats.
Please note: our dogs are not available for interstate adoption. We also do not adopt to people under the age of 25 years.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

We look forward to receiving your application.
