POOR FRECKLES - prior to foster care this boy lived almost his entire life in a pound. And as awesome as he is he just simply gets no applications?

Next week he will have been in foster care for 3 months!!! and he's only 13 months old. PLEASE help us help Freckles find his forever home.

Freckles is a charming young boy who is very food-oriented and learns new things quickly! He is crate-trained, in the process of walking perfectly on a leash, and absolutely loves water! He is a gentle and playful boy and needs a home where he has plenty of space to run and do silly puppy things.

He also loves digging in his sandpit and shell pools filled with water. Freckles sometimes forgets how big he is, but he has quickly learned his place and not to jump up on people.

Freckles loves people but can be timid and anxious when meeting new people, so he needs a slow introduction. He would thrive in a home with another dog older than him to show him the ropes and who is in charge to learn from. He has been exposed to other dogs and small pocket pets, as well as being desensitized to grooming and the car and now loves the back of the ute!

Freckles needs someone who can give him all the love and attention but also provide the ongoing training he needs. He is currently working with a professional trainer and behavioral specialist on his training. He has learned to wait at the door before entering and exiting, recall on and off-leash, to stop mouthing and play biting with hands, walking on a loose leash, and interacting with other dogs on walks without being reactive.

He would make a fantastic travel dog, loves the back of the Ute and swimming and company of other dogs to play with.
