Meet Basil, an exquisite blend of Burmese charm and Russian Blue sophistication. At his seasoned age of 6 years and 10 months, Basil exudes a balanced mix of maturity and curiosity. This independent, royal kitty prefers to be the only feline in the house, relishing the personal space and undivided attention from his human companions.
Basil is not just any companion—he desires a harmonious relationship that respects his independence and the need for affection on his own terms. Pats and brushing sessions are his favorites, but these cherished moments must occur when he feels comfortable. While he's not one for toys, exploring tunnels excites him as it stimulates his adventurous side. Though he is not fond of change or strangers, patience and gentle encouragement will reveal Basil's tender side as he evolves into a steadfast friend.
A lover of the outdoors, Basil enjoys his days in the sun-dappled freshness of a secure, netted area that offers the freedom to explore while keeping him and the local wildlife safe. He enjoys returning indoors at dusk. A home with a quiet setting that offers companionship without the exuberance of young children is ideal, as loud noises and over-stimulation can unsettle him. Don't try to tickle his belly, though, as he prefers not to be touched there!
Gourmet by taste, Basil enjoys a diet that includes Ivory Coat Mature cat dry food and delights in the fishy flavors of Applaws wet food, especially the tuna/salmon and tuna/prawn varieties. Rest assured, Basil is litter-trained and accustomed to clumping litter.
Currently residing in Berkeley Vale on the Central Coast, NSW, Basil's owner is keen to share insights into his personality, ensuring a smooth transition into a new home. Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
