Nugget (On Trial)

Nugget has gone on trial in a new home 3/5/11. Pls consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au

nugget is a 2-year-old fox terrier cross who really lives up to the old saying 'good things come in small packages'. This little guy has boundless energy and would be the perfect dog for just about anyone. Nugget loves all people and all dogs, no matter how big or small, and really enjoys being around people. He loves to wrestle and chase his foster brother jimmy (a german shepherd mix) but also enjoys a game of fetch if it's on offer. . . . Nugget currently spends his days outside lazing around in the sun but comes inside for a few hours in the evening to have a bit of a pat and a play before returning outside to sleep with jimmy and another small terrier called daisy. As the weather gets cooler it is recommended he sleep inside, perhaps in a laundry. Although there have been a few accidents inside, nugget is well on his way to being house trained and would benefit from and respond well to further training. Being a foxie breed, he is always a very curious fellow who is also very intelligent. He would benefit from obedience classes and would easily learn a few tricks if his favourite liver treats were on offer. . . . Nugget enjoys going for walks each day and is very well behaved on his lead. He needs to go a home where he could have a daily walk and also given the chance to meet and interact with other dogs who enjoy a game of chase as much as he does. We do not know much of nugget's life before he found himself at the pound but his playful and easy going nature suggests that he was not treated badly at all and found himself at the pound through no fault of his own. . . . Nugget would be a wonderful addition to any family. He will need a very secure backyard where he cannot escape. He has managed to escape a few times from the backyard but has always come back of his own accord only a few minutes later. Nugget simply is a wonderful little guy who deserves a forever home where he can truly be a part of the family. . . . Nugget is in foster care in muswellbrook (past singleton, in the hunter valley), but his foster carers are able to bring him to newcastle any time during weekends if you would like to meet him. Nugget is available for adoption interstate. For more information please phone keith on 02-6543-3382 or email amie on afry88@live. Com.
