About Amber Rose
Hi! I’m Amber Rose and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR AMBER ROSE
PLEASE COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM
https://forms.gle/5ocYF92xXkTGtf8C8
NOTE: You are unable to meet Amber Rose until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Amber Rose in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.
What I need in my new home:
• Short regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent, Including no gaps or holes I can squeeze through!)
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A family who promise to keep me well groomed and brush me regularly so I’m always looking and feeling my best
• Lots of love and attention
• A quiet & mature family/household - this is what I am used too
• I am very people orientated however am not fond of being picked up
• I enjoy the company of other dogs my own size but am NOT keen on bigger dogs
• No young children as I can be nippy when it comes to being touched where I don’t approve! Older children who will be involved with my training and understand my boundaries should be ok.
• A submissive and placid dog is the best housemate for me. But, I LOVE LOVE LOVE people, so I'm just as happy being an only dog getting all of your love and attention for myself
• SOCIALISATION is important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence.
• I need a nice quiet home with no young children (under 12 years), so I can whatever time I need to get used to my new home and learn that I'm safe and loved
Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
• No young children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and I am very picky about where I am touched or pet. Older children who will be involved with my training and aware of my boundaries should be ok.
•
My best features:
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Housetrained and used to being allowed inside
AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE CANNOT COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET AMBER ROSE IN PERSON.
