About Fergus
Meet Fergus, a charming 4-year-old Italian Greyhound with a heart full of potential and a sweet nature that shines through once he feels secure in your presence. This anxious little guy is on the lookout for a patient and loving new family that can provide him with the calm and nurturing environment he craves.
Fergus may start off a bit shy, but with gentle encouragement and plenty of lovingly-delivered pats, he blossoms into a trusting and devoted companion. He shows a positive interest in other dogs, suggesting that he enjoys social interactions and might thrive with a compatible canine friend in the household. Cats don't seem to pique his interest, so he should fit in well with feline counterparts as well.
One of Fergus’s key needs is basic and lead training, which will require patience, dedication, and a gentle approach. By investing time into Fergus’s training and routine, you'll not only gain a well-mannered pup but also strengthen the bond between you.
With the right guidance and a compassionate environment, Fergus is sure to flourish. He's looking for that special home that will both appreciate his gentle ways and guide him through his journey of self-assurance. So, if you have room in your heart and life for a delicate companion who is ready to become your loyal friend, Fergus is eagerly waiting to meet you.
Medical notes
At the time of desexing, it was noticed that Fergus has some hair loss and redness on his skin. Treated with medicated wash and Simparica Trio. Ongoing medicated wash weekly for the next 2-3 weeks.
Fergus also had multiple teeth extracted and a tooth abscess treated. Monitor teeth 6 -12 monthly.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
