About Fluffball
Looking for FOSTER with the view to ADOPTION
*Separately or together*
Introducing two absolutely adorable kittens. These boys are just 3 months old but have already faced more health struggles in their lives than you would possibly wish on anyone.
Their purr-sonalities are second to none; Ginger is a snuggle puss. He loves people, making friends, getting affection. He also loves to play.
Fluffball is an adventurous explorer who loves to play and climb and get up to mischief. As his name suggests, he has a medium-long coat and would benefit from brushing throughout his life. He's super handsome and totally irresistible.
Both boys are wonderful with a young child. They are friendly with other cats and dogs.
You can't ask for better kittens!
Unfortunately for them, their life got off to a rough start.
I'll try not to overwhelm you with the details but they're very lucky to be alive - sadly they had a beautiful sister who wasn't so lucky, she passed away just hours after we rescued the little family.
Had they not come into care when they did, these boys almost certainly wouldn't be alive today.
They were around 5 weeks old when they arrived, but underweight. They couldn't open their eyes due to infection. They couldn't hear due to the volume of ear mites blocking their ears amd they were severely anemic from both the mites and the dozens of fleas infesting their tiny bodies.
They had cat flu and ringworm. Their mum was so incredibly tiny, battling to feed them although she was so sick herself.
They've been nursed through their struggles but they're still fighting.
The fleas and ear mites are a thing of the past - now parasite-free, they have loads of energy to run and tumble and play.
The ringworm is *almost* fully resolved, just two more weeks of medication to complete.
The respiratory issues, unfortunately, are a longer term problem.
Both boys are currently on antibiotics and eye ointment.
Their sickness doesn't slow them down much but it may have lasting effects - at this stage, we can't say for sure.
They may have chronic sinus problems, or lowered immunity that leads to flare ups of snotty noses and runny eyes.
They may have dental troubles later in life.
We know that these boys aren't 'perfect' but well, they're purr-fectly wonderful.
There's a family (or two) out there who are ideal for these fabulous kitties, I just know it.
We're here to provide support and assistance and medical care as needed.
Ideally, you would love to welcome both boys into your home - initially on a foster basis then once their health is more stable, they can be permanent additions!
Please message the page or email avonvalley@safe.org.au for more information or to offer a home to Ginger, Fluffball or both 🧡🤎
