About Jazzy
Hello, my name is Jazzy and I'm looking for my forever humans.
I am a gorgeous 2 year and 9 months old Shmoodle (Toy Poodle X Maltese-Shih Tzu) who has come into care from a breeder with some other fur babies that the rescue also helped
I am a little shy with new humans and do take a moment or three to gain my confidence and – but if you give me the chance I am honestly worth it (my foster mum says I am!), once I get to know you I am quite a lap dog and love scratches and cuddles
I currently live in a home where my humans work but there is often someone home for me to hang out with while the other is off working. I do like – and of course I do I’m a while small breed fluffy dog, so ideally I’m looking for a home where there is someone home more often than not – either shift work, part time, work home, not needing to work, retired etc.
I currently weigh 4kgs
I am currently living with and other small breed dogs who I like to snuggle with and generally just have with me for company. I am not that big on young pups in my face trying to lick and make me play – I am really after a quiet calm home.
I love my food and like treats
I currently live with a teenage who I really like – I haven’t been around a lot of small kids since coming into care but can be a bit nervous if they are rough or really loud.
I am also cat friendly
I enjoy going for a walk and I am very ‘steady as you go’ on a lead. I love to do zoomies off lead at the park my foster mum takes me too (not a dog park). I am fine with other dogs walking past me.
I do also enjoy a good snooze preferably on my humans bed. I sleep with my humans on their bed as I am the apple of their eye. I often sleep at the end of the bed so you will probably not even notice I’m there.
I am toilet trained and happily use a doggy door.
My ideal home would be where I can be inside as much as I want and have access outside for lady business and some sniffing and sunbaking. I would not enjoy being a dog that would be expected to spend hours outside by myself.
I do have a coat that requires regular grooming so please make sure that you do remember that it’s a life time of grooming.
I am looking for that forever home that will love me and I can love you – are you that home?

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
