Otto was surrendered to the shelter by his previous owners who unfortunately could no longer look after him. This means he is looking for a new family and a place he can call home for the rest of his life.

At just over six months old, Otto is still a puppy in many ways and needs adopters who can commit time and patience to help him learn all the skills required to be the best big doggy there is. This includes increasing his confidence in being handled and harnessed up for his walks.

He can get overexcited and mouthy at times and would be best suited to a home with secondary school-aged children and above who can handle his energy. If you have young kids who are experienced with dogs of this size and nature, they may also be appropriate.

Otto may be suitable to live with another dog pending a successful meet and greet here are the shelter. Otto's adopters will need to make sure that any introductions to unfamiliar dogs outside of the shelter are taken slowly to help build his confidence in socialising with them.
