About Thuggie
Introducing Thuggie!
Thuggie is a domestic short hair, born approx 20th August 2017.
Cats like Thuggie would generally be classed as a "barn cat" who prefers an independent lifestyle patrolling the property for mice & rats, however we've found Thuggie to be more dependant on and interactive with humans than the usual barn cat.
As you can see from his size, Thuggie loves his food and we've found this to be a helpful tool during our socialising sessions with him. He's not picky with his treats and will eat almost anything you put in front of him, however his favourite appears to be the liquid Dine treats.
Although Thuggie is becoming more trusting of humans, his new owners will need to be prepared that there is a possibility that he will never be your typical lap cat.
Since being at the facility, Thuggie has been housed with other cats & he has gotten on with everyone quite well. We've found him to be quite independent from the other cats, so he would be suitable to live with others, or be the only "spoilt child" at home.
As you can see from his photo, Thuggie hasn't had the greatest start to life and he is scared of most things. The old saying "he's scared of his own shadow" applies to this sweet boy. For this reason we feel he'll be more comfortable in a quieter home with no children and for his own safety he must be kept as an indoor cat only.
Thuggie is desperately looking forward to finding his forever home, life in a cage just doesn't suit him at all.
Thuggie's adoption fee is $50.00 and includes his desexing and lifetime registration.
Thuggie is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
