Zira is a charming black and white cat who, at almost nine years old, has the perfect blend of youthful playfulness and love of cat naps.

And this mature lady has a few unique quirks that make her even more endearing.

While she is affectionate and enjoys cuddling on the couch or cozying up on the bed, Zira prefers not to be picked up; she likes to come to you on her own terms. Sit down for long enough and that is a cue for Zira to purr her way over to you.

When it comes to petting, Zira will happily accept affection almost anywhere on her body, except on the top of her head, which she prefers to be left untouched thank you very much.

Zira has a hearty appetite and is very food motivated, so managing her intake will be important, as she’d happily indulge if given the chance. While she has a tummy Zira is not a fat cat however we think she would very much like to be that way!

This is a lady who enjoys the peace of being the only pet in a calm, quiet environment, making her unsuitable for homes with other pets or small children.

Zira is an ideal companion for homebodies who appreciate the company of a cat; she will form a lovely bond with her new human while being perfectly content to entertain herself when needed. She loves to watch you cook, clean the house or go about your life.
