Jaffa, 4yo, male poodle 💖(Trial 13/12/24)

Jaffa is a 4.5yo, male, poodle who needs someone special to give him a chance. He has so much going for him and has come such a long way since coming into care. He is still rather scared but the kind and gentle person who adopts him will be rewarded with watching him grow into the happy dog which he deserves to be. Every tail wag is such a joy.

Jaffa adores other dogs of all sizes. He would enjoy living with another dog but it's not essential if you're home a lot. Jaffa spent his first 3 years in a cage in a puppy farm so he is afraid of unfamiliar people, especially men. He does have the potential to bite if you try to corner him or rush him. However, if you approach him very slowly and gently he will wag his tail and enjoy some scratches. It’s so lovely to see him starting to open up. Our trainer will provide lots of free support over the phone or in person.

Jaffa is a standard poodle, possibly crossed with miniature poodle, so he is medium size. He has a non-shedding coat which needs professional clipping approximately every 8 weeks.

He is happy to spend most of his time outside, with good shelter, and is fine at home with another dog while you go to work.

🏡 JAFFA’S FOREVER PERSON (couple or family)
* Is very patient and gentle.
* Is experienced with dogs, especially frightened dogs.
* Wants to give an unfortunate dog a happy life.
* Cats are fine.
* Doesn’t have children under 12 years old.
* Will take him for walks in places which aren’t very busy.
* Has a yard with secure fencing.

Jaffa is in foster care in Cameron Park, NSW (northern Lake Macquarie, west of Newcastle).
⭐He is only available for adoption within NSW and ACT.

Jaffa's adoption fee is $700 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, worms, vet checked, and microchipped.
