About Sky
This is beautiful Sky, a three-year-old female Border Collie.
Very petite and light on her feet, Sky is a little ray of sunshine. With a lovely temperament, she is a delight and, in typical Border Collie fashion, anticipates your every move. She can be a little timid with humans on first meeting, but she soon relaxes, particularly when a ball or stick is on offer. She doesn’t jump up on anyone and has been very gentle with the kids she has met in foster care. She is not bothered by livestock or chickens (not tested with cats) and is great with other dogs. While she will chase kangaroos and rabbits, particularly in the company of her foster brother, her recall is great.
Although Sky has always lived with other dogs, she is very independent – as long as she is kept busy, she’d adjust well as an only dog with her human family. She is toilet trained and is great on a lead, although in quiet places she will happily walk by your side without one. She currently sleeps through the night in an open crate, emerging in the morning ready for breakfast – and whatever activity is on your agenda.
Sky will need an energetic walk or run – or two! – each day to keep her stimulated. But she has a good off switch and will happily relax once she has had her exercise.
Sky would be best on a farm or larger rural or semi-urban property. She has shown no interest in jumping fences at her foster home, but an enclosed area or house fencing will ensure her safety.
The perfect package, Sky loves a cuddle and will light up your every day – and she is ridiculously cute!
Sky is located in VIC.

We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
