About Bubs SUA012916
Meet Bubs, a friendly senior lady with a heart full of warmth and a lovely temperament. Bubs is a gentle soul who has lived her entire life indoors, and she's searching for a quiet and loving new indoor only home to call her own. Her affectionate nature will make her the perfect companion for someone seeking a calm and serene feline friend.
Bubs doesn't just enjoy being petted; she lives for those special moments of bonding and closeness, always ready to curl up beside you for a cozy, quiet afternoon. Though she loves attention, she prefers not to share it with children or canines, as she cherishes a peaceful environment where she can be the center of her human's world.
As a Persian, Bubs does require regular grooming to keep her coat looking its finest, and she welcomes the attention that grooming brings. With her easy-going personality and delightful companionship, Bubs would thrive in a household that appreciates the joys and tranquility that come with having a senior feline.
Medical notes
Chronic Rhinitis
Bubs has had ongoing mild nasal discharge since being in our care. She has had courses of antibiotics that she has been somewhat responsive to. She has had xrays and a flush of her nose to look for any abnormalities. At present she still has some discharge noted at times. It is likely Bubs has a condition know as chronic
rhinitis (ongoing inflammation) of her nose secondary to a previous flu infection. Her conformation (flat face) will also effect the normal passage of secretions and air through her nasal passages. If Bubs has visible discharge at her nostrils or frequent sneezing, she should be checked at your regular veterinarian
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
