Introducing Mooks, the sweetest young man you could hope to meet. He is an intelligent young dog who picks up new commands and house rules quickly. He is eagerly waiting for his forever owners to take him to puppy school so he can polish his skills and play with some pals. He already knows so many commands. He is house-trained and sleeps through the night. He might try to get into bed with you. He gets on with other dogs and knows not to chase the two inside cats although he is very curious about them. He is patient, listens to his humans, looks to them for cues and only wants to please.

Mooks enjoys his walks, sniffing the wee-mails and walking calmly on the lead. He responds to commands such as wait and doesn’t respond to dogs barking at him from behind a fence or across the road. He has learned that he mustn’t chase the birds. He travels well in the car although you might have to lift him into it at first. The rest of the time he likes to hang out with you, preferably inside.

Many family situations would suit Mooks as he loves children. He doesn’t need a doggy companion. Mooks is used to being left alone for a few hours at a time. Although he doesn’t like it, he is not destructive. He would benefit from access to the outside through his doggy door, toys to play with and the radio or tv for company.

He does have a few bad habits; he jumps up to greet you and his carer is working on that with great success. He is also very food driven and will put his paws up on the kitchen bench or table to see if there is anything worth eating. For Mooks, everything is worth eating!

Mooks is a young dog with teenage energy so would like activities and toys that are engaging and interesting, then time to sleep at your feet. He has the potential to grow into a calm, gentle, loving adult.
