About Bunilla Ice
Requirements:
Must meet all family members
Kids (any age)
Inside/Outside - Hutch
Meet Bunilla Ice,
Bunilla Ice is gentle & slightly shy little bun. Other than that, we have observed Bunilla to also be friendly, curious, playful & if we are going to be completely honest - she's a little lazy...
Bunilla Ice is suitable for home environment that is on the quieter side, as loud noises tend to startle her. She is also open to meet kids of any age too providing that they are understanding of how special bunnies are. It's important to note that rabbits are often curious & cautious by nature so Bunilla is looking for a home with a family who will love her & make her feel like part of the family.
Bunilla is a typically quiet bun, who allows handling & being picked. She's very easy when to handle when you pick her up, she'll gladly snuggle into you for a cuddle & likes to be held close to you. Just make sure you support her little bottom and be mindful of her hind legs. Bunilla Ice also likes her back being scratched.
In terms of housing, Bunilla Ice will need a safe & secure hutch. Somewhere out of the sun with plenty of shade. A place that is comfortable & cool for the warmer months, and warm & cozy for the cooler months. A portable hutch that can be taken inside would great too, especially for really hot days or really cold nights as buns are sensitive to changes in weather.
Bunilla Ice will also need access to fresh clean water, an assortment of toys to chew on & play with and fresh food daily. Toys don't have to be expensive, simple cat toys like plastic rattle toys bring Bunilla a lot of joy! She’ll happily play with them & zoom around.
Although Bunilla Ice is learning how to use a litter tray, she shows very promising behaviour in learning how to be toilet trained. It's best to show her where the litter tray is when you get home to minimise any accidents. If you'd like to continue to house train her it would be a wise move having multiple litter trays available for her to use.
As we cannot test, we are unsure how Bunilla would go living with dogs or cats - this would be up to the discretion of her new owners. As rabbits are social creatures, Bunilla Ice would do well living with another rabbit, just make sure that they have a slow introduction to ensure that they get along.
Staff Comments: Bunilla is a very sweet rabbit, she loves just sprawling out on the floor. she is easy to pick up & gives the best cuddles as she often tries to nuzzle under your chin.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
