Marlo

Marlo is a 6-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier who was spotted wandering around the southern suburbs of the Wollongong area by members of our community for many weeks.

Whilst we are still yet to confirm what happened with his owner, we believe he may have been unintentionally abandoned by his owner and escaped for his home whilst looking for them.

Marlo was extremely anxious and timid whilst out roaming. He was posted to various Facebook community groups several times and dozens of members of the public were attempting to contain him, however due to his timid, scared and anxious nature, he was extremely difficult to catch.

Eventually, after a huge community effort, Wollongong City Council's Animal Compliance team managed to contain Marlo, and he is now doing well and receiving plenty of love in our care whilst looking for his forever home. Despite how long he was roaming the streets, Marlo is in good health.

Due to his extremely timid nature and the unfortunate circumstances of how he came into our care, Marlo is seeking a calm and gentle household to be a part of, ideally with no other dogs.
