About Millwright
Millwright is a stunning grey cat with a story of resilience. She and her brother, Carpenter, were heartbreakingly abandoned in a birdcage at the shelter's front gate. For over a week, Millwright was missing, leaving us worried about her safety until we finally found her. Once she was back in our care, we filled her belly and placed her in a loving foster home to help rebuild her confidence and trust.
Understandably, Millwright is still a bit of a nervous nelly. It will take time for her to fully settle into a new home, but she's already made strides in her foster care. She's now feeling safe enough to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like chin scratches and leisurely exploring the house at her own pace. Her foster carer has worked hard to help her feel secure, and while she's made progress, she remains sensitive to change and will need a patient, understanding family to continue building her confidence.
Millwright gets along well with other cats, but she also values her alone time. She shares a special bond with her brother, Carpenter, and can often be found cuddled up with him on their favourite rocking chair.
When it comes to playtime, Millwright shows a surprising playful side, particularly with her laser toy. She has an interest in a wide variety of toys, which is a great way to engage with her and help her feel more at ease.
Millwright needs a quiet, stable home with experienced cat owners who understand the needs of a rescue cat. She would do best in a home without young children, as she's sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements. A calm, patient family who can give her the time and space she needs to settle in at her own pace will be the key to her happiness.
Are you ready to offer Millwright the safe and loving home she needs to continue her journey of healing?
Note: This cat is currently being cared for in a home and when adopted, it will free up a spot to help another cat.
