Meet Adam, a sweet and gentle cat looking for a patient forever home! Adam needs to start in a small launch room to help him settle before exploring the rest of the house, as he can become overwhelmed in large open spaces. He thrives in cozy environments with plenty of safe spaces, so providing scratch posts, cat trees, and hides like cardboard boxes and cat igloos will help him feel secure.

Adam is a bit timid at first, so he'll do best with an understanding adopter who can recognize when he needs space. Older children who can read basic cat body language will be ideal companions for him. While he was untested with other cats at the shelter, he came in with several feline friends, suggesting he's likely social. We recommend keeping him separate initially and allowing for gradual introductions.

Adam also may do well in a home with a calm social dog, as long as interactions are monitored. Despite his rocky start, Adam has a loving and trusting nature that shines through once he feels safe. He loves a good chat, enjoys gentle affection, and is a big fan of roast chicken! If you're ready to offer Adam a nurturing environment, he can't wait to meet you!
