Nature
My foster family says I have the best disposition and was dearly loved at one point. I was rescued by the Angels after my time had run out in the pound. I was found on the streets after being attacked by an animal of some kind, maybe a dog, so I get very stressed when I hear and see them.

I love a cuddle; my Foster Mum picks me up and carries me around the house like a baby, even though I weigh more than any baby she has met. I love to pull you in close with my paws and give you love, rubbing my head all over your chin. My Foster Mum is amazed at how social I am, despite my hard start to life, everyone I meet falls for my friendly nature.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
As I said, dogs are not my thing, I’m sorry but my past has left me very wary of them.

I live with 5 other feline friends and don’t mind them, occasionally I will join in a quick minute of kitty chaos but I’m a big boy and give up pretty quickly. I don’t mind my feline companions at all, but I would be okay being solo also.

Likes / Dislikes
I LOVE food as you can imagine at my size, food is life. I probably love people the same amount, if not more, I just want to love on everyone I meet and I have a funny habit of licking people like a dog, my Foster Mum thinks it’s because I’m trying to get you to help groom myself or I’m just weird.

My PURR-fect home would be where I could be your one true love, I would need someone to be home almost all day to give me all the loving I need. I would definitely prefer access to a secure cat run as I have a very strong drive to get outside. I move very fast despite my size so someone who can handle my quirks.

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Simba’s adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination*, microchip, flea and worm treatment.

*Vaccinations are subject to availability due to a worldwide vaccine shortage. Our adoption team will notify you if the cat/kitten you apply to adopt has NOT been vaccinated.

Medical Notes: Simba has Gingivitis and Stomatitis, which is inflammation of the gums and mouth. Simba had a dental scale and polish in September 2024 where 7 teeth extracted. This has resolved some of the Stomatitis. This condition may require treatment on and off throughout his life. Simba will need his teeth checked at his annual vaccination. He may need treatment in between these times (of steroids and/or antibiotics) if the condition worsens. He may need further teeth extracted in the future.
