About Arlo
Are you wanting a gorgeous gentleman to steal your heart?
Well that's me - my name is Arlo and I am a 2 year and 6 month old Cavoodle and I am looking for my furever family where we can share endless amounts of love and affection between us.
Although I am only 2 and a half years old, my foster mum calls me an “old soul”. I am very well behaved - a gentle, quiet boy, who loves cuddles and going for walks. My calm, easy-going nature has also made it very easy for me to be trained.
I enjoy playing with my foster dog siblings in short bursts each morning, but other than that, I am so happy to just be around my humans who love me, so I don’t need to have other dogs in my new family. I am happy to get all of the attention.
I have been so patient and gentle with my foster family’s young children – aged 5,7 and 9. I enjoy them giving me cuddles and laying on the lounge together while they read books or do puzzles.
I’d love a family who will spend time with me each day – I don’t want to be home alone all day everyday by myself. I am also quite social, so am happy to come along on trips out with you. I am not scared of strangers – I like to be friends with everyone.
At night time, I like to sleep in my foster parent’s bedroom. I have my own bed next to my foster parent’s bed, and I am so well behaved that I stay on my own bed all night. I really love my sleep, so I sleep soundly all night long and am overnight toilet trained.
One my favorite things to do is go for a walk. I get very excited when I see my foster mum pick up my lead, and we enjoy a 30 minute walk together most days – and if you want to do more walking I’m good with that as well!.
I’m a good eater and enjoy a healthy diet full of different foods and I get very excited at dinner time each night.
When my foster family goes out, I prefer to be left inside the house. This is where I feel safest and most comfortable. I can be trusted in the house alone – I have never had an accident or chewed anything - I really am such a good boy.
I weigh 9.6 kgs, but in my mind I am smaller than that, hence why I try to be a lapdog – I just love cuddles!
I am toilet trained.
I have not been tested on cats.
If you are patient and loving with me as I settle into another new home, then I promise I will repay you with so much love and affection that we will be best friends forever.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
