Chester

Hi I’m Chester a Long Hair Chihuhua who is 9 years and 10 months old and I really am the most adorable and cuddly boy for those I deem worthy!

Whilst I have come into care as a retired breeder, I'm used to a life having access inside and on couches / beds etc

My foster mum has told me that I need to tell you about me encase your interested

Well I love a cuddle and will follow you around if you past the test of being my friend.

If you don't make the cut you are not allowed to touch me and I will give you the best side eye and tell you no.

The rescue has said I'm a typical Chihuhua who likes who I like and don't like who i don't like but if you give me a chance and a home where I can settle and get used to the change but once I'm comfy (can take a couple of days) I will find my favorite person in the home and follow them around and get cuddles and you will see such a happy content boy.

I am 2.6kgs and stand about 20cms high (from my shoulder to my paws)

I am currently in foster care with some other fur siblings and while I tolerate all shapes and sizes my favorite friend is another Chihuhua so that would be pretty cool if you had a Chihuhua too or I would be very happy being an only child

I love spending my time either sitting on your lap or just following you around – yep two really different things but that is how I roll.

I am happy to be left home alone (or with a sibling) while your out and about doing things or work part time etc but I would miss you if you were gone 8+ hours a day.

While your at work earning the money or buying the food for me I'm happy to either wander about the house (inside and out), or sleep on the couch or the bed - I'll just chill and wait for you.

I do love a good ride and love to be high enough that I can see out the window.

I am learning to walk on a lead but it's very baby steps on that one - however I'm happy to be carried or even a stroller while you walk!

I am not cat tested

I do sleep in a crate at night (door opened) but would love to be able to sleep on the bed with you (the reason I sleep in the crate is cause when I first came in, I had a bit of a issue with humping soft fluffy beds so that was a bit awkward if my foster mum woke up and saw that!)

I would prefer a home with kids over the age of 13 - just younger kids make me nervous and unsure.

I have a lovely fluffy coat that does require regularly grooming. I came into care with a few small knots and the rescue got me groomed - the plan was a trim up but I was shaven to ensure no knots - its recommended to only groom not shave long haired Chihuahuas but as my foster mum said thank god it will grow back! (She says while she knows I'm super little - it really shows how little I am!)

The rescue did send me to the vet and they said something about me being desexed (oh yeah and a dental scale and polish).
