Meet Ruby the Poodle!

Ruby, also affectionately known as Roubos, The Rubes, Ruby Poodle, and Roubles, is a delightful 8-year-old poodle with a heart full of love to give. Despite a challenging start, she now thrives in the care of her foster family, enjoying the company of her two Groodle siblings.

Ruby is a happy, social pup who adores people and snuggles. Her favorite activities include leisurely walks in the park, where she has discovered that humans carry magical pockets filled with treats! With her impressive nose, she’s mastered the art of finding those tasty treasures, and she knows that sitting patiently earns her a reward.

While Ruby loves to socialize, she appreciates her personal space, especially as she’s reached the wiser age of 8. She would prefer to be approached by dogs and puppies with a little more respect, so she relies on her humans to help manage her interactions.

Food is Ruby’s ultimate passion—she absolutely loves it! In fact, she’s known to devour anything and everything (much to the surprise of her fussier foster siblings). To prevent any food-related drama, she enjoys her meals in a separate room, ensuring she has all the delicious goodies to herself. After coming from a home where food was scarce, Ruby is now in heaven with endless meals.

Ruby is toilet trained and has earned the title of the best poodle in the world from her foster family! When she’s not exploring or snacking, you’ll find her lounging peacefully at her humans' feet, although she’s always up for a good walk. Ruby is still learning to walk nicely on a lead, but her recall off-lead is excellent, especially when treats are involved!

Ideal Home
Ruby’s ideal home is one filled with love and affection. She’s a smart girl who adapts well to different environments and would thrive with anyone willing to shower her with attention. Ruby currently lives with teenagers and has spent time with younger children, all of whom she enjoys.

Energy Level
Ruby is super relaxed and loves to chill throughout the day. She enjoys her daily walks—two a day are perfect for her! Ruby also appreciates some time hanging out in the park.

Suitability to Children
Ruby seems to do well with children and would be a great fit for families with kids aged 5 or older.

Suitability to Other Pets
Ruby is currently living harmoniously with other dogs but we're not quite sure about cats. She prefers a peaceful environment, especially when it comes to younger, more energetic dogs.
