Ernie

Ernie is a tiny 8kg dingo x chihuahua he is approximately 4 years old and has come from a rough past.

Ernie was often tied to a post, neglected and allegedly kicked by his owners. Most of the time freeing himself just to end up in the pound. Eventually neighbours got involved alongside rangers and Ernie was removed from his owners.

Whilst in care Ernie tried escaping and unfortunately ended up with substantial wounds requiring emergency surgery. Ernie is now recovering well but is in need of a stable home to call his own.

Ernie initially became friendly with his foster carer allowing pats and cuddles though since the medications and vet visits has decided to not pursue further interaction. Ernie can be very timid with other dogs but is also happy to socialise if they are not intimidating.

The ideal home for Ernie would be escape proof, child free, quiet, stable and patient with lots of love to give allowing him to learn to trust humans again if you think you could offer this please contact perthdingorescue@gmail.com
