About Cruiser
Hi there, I'm Cruiser, a 7-and-a-half-year-old Chihuahua with a big heart and an even bigger love for snuggles.
I'm looking for a new home where I can be more than just a dog-I want to be part of the family. You know, the kind of place where I'm not just allowed inside, but where I get to share the couch, your lap, and maybe even your pillow (trust me, I make a great pillow buddy).
I'm a pro at cuddles and love being picked up and held close. If you're sitting down, you can bet I'll be right there, ready to warm your lap and shower you with affection. I get along well with other dogs too, especially if they're a bit older like me. Young pups are great and all, but I'm past the stage of dealing with little ones jumping all over me. I'd much prefer a mellow buddy who's down for some relaxed hangout time.
As for kids, I'm cool with older ones who understand that us senior dogs enjoy a little peace and respect. I'm not asking for much-just a loving home where I can finally settle down and be the loyal companion I was born to be. If you're looking for a cuddle bug who will love you endlessly, I'm your guy. Let's make some cozy memories together!
To book a meet and greet with Cruiser please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
