About Buddy
Meet Buddy, the stunning 4-year-old Maremma who's ready to become your best buddy for life! With his gorgeous fluffy coat and gentle eyes, Buddy is not only a handsome boy but also an absolute sweetheart. He's a loving and affectionate dog who's just looking for a family to share his heart with. Buddy thrives in a home where he can be part of the family, whether that's joining you on daily adventures or just lounging around the house.
Buddy is great with other dogs and would enjoy the company of a relaxed, calm canine friend. While he's sociable, he's also content to have some peaceful downtime, making him the perfect companion for another laid-back dog. He loves to explore the great outdoors, sniffing all the wonderful new scents the world has to offer. Whether it's a stroll through the neighborhood or a weekend hike, Buddy is always up for some quality time outside.
He's well-mannered and house-trained, making him an easy fit for a loving home. Older teenage kids who understand how to respect and appreciate his gentle nature would be ideal. Buddy is patient and kind, but he thrives in an environment where everyone understands his calm and loving spirit.
As a Maremma, Buddy comes from a breed known for its loyalty and protective nature. Originally bred as livestock guardian dogs in Italy, Maremmas are renowned for their gentle demeanor with their families and strong bonds with those they love. Buddy embodies all these wonderful traits and is ready to share his big heart with a family that will give him the love and attention he deserves.
If you're looking for a loving companion who's always by your side, Buddy is the perfect fit. Come meet this beautiful boy and see why he's destined to be your best buddy!

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
