About Kita (64256)
Kita is a resilient German Shepherd who has made significant strides since arriving at the shelter. Initially shut down and nervous, she has begun to trust her handlers and is showing promising signs of socialization. While she wasn't familiar with other dogs at first, she's developing her dog-to-dog skills and might thrive in a home with a calm, well-matched male companion. Kita will benefit from a patient environment where she can gradually adjust to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Continued training and confidence-building exercises are essential for her, allowing her to progress at her own pace. Due to her past experiences, she would do best in a home without children under 12 and is not suited to a home with cats. With the right support, Kita has the potential to become a loving and loyal companion.
