About Oscar
We have recently welcomed the beautiful Oscar into our rescue. He has had a lot of change in the past few months so he is a bit timid at first meeting.
One of our first observations of Oscar when we were doing his behavioural testing was that he is frightened of loud noises and raised voices. So we think he would be suited for a family who are quiet with no small children with another dog who is very calm.
Oscar is untested around cats but we think it may be safer not to have any cats in the home.
Once Oscar warms up to you he is friendly, looking for pats and cuddles and snuggles. When he settles and is not nervous, he is really quite the character. He loves to chase a ball, chew rubber toys and swim it seems. He is not food motivated.
He walks well on a lead, is toilet trained and sleeps in his bed each night.
We think he would suit someone who is home more often than not and we don't think believe he would do well in a yard all day by himself. He does get along with other dogs, but it's just that initial introduction which would need to be handled carefully.
He is a beautiful little dog which under the right home environment will blossom into a wonderful companion.
