MY PROFILE:
Zahrah aka 'Little moose/Moo' (where would we be without a nickname!) is an absolute gem of a kitten.
She was stray born and it is almost as if she was determined to make a better life for herself!
She was found at a rural produce store and befriended those working there. They adored her and worked on socialising but unfortunately both with existing cats of her own neither could take her. They agonised over this and ultimately entrusted us with her care and finding her the purr-fect home!
We've seen a lot in rescue but her confidence for a stray kitten is rather unbelievable. We We were assured a trap wouldn't be necessary and were dubious...but when we arrived she was snuggled in one of the worker's arms! When her foster carer brought her home it was as if she'd been a housecat from the day she was born! Immediately making herself right at home.
Thankfully she had been flea-treated and wormed before we picked her up, but the poor little girl was already suffering from horrible sores from flea allergy dermatitis. Her new family would need to keep on top of flea prevention, as bites are especially bad for her. Her sores are now healed, and patchy fur is growing back.
She's a total sweetheart. She loves pats, cuddles and affection...still has her busy kitten vibe so doesn't want to be picked up for too long...too much excitement! She sometimes gets her crazy cat on in the evening....zooming around the loungroom and up and down the cat tower.
She is fine with the other cats in care though now a little hesitant as a couple were initially mean to her when she tried to befriend them. A friendly feline sibling might be great for her. She's also pretty unfazed by her canine foster sister so would also be fine with a respectful dog.
Zahrah would suit many different households. She'd be fine with human siblings in a family that treats her as a treasured member, a single person or couple would also be great, she's very people-oriented. She'd likely be fine as an only cat with lots of attention or as above, with a feline or canine buddy.
