These hens were surrendered from a free-range egg farm. Some of these girls are missing feathers due to the conditions at the farm and are laying at a low capacity. However, with a little TLC, their feathers should grow back, and their laying may increase.

Typically, hens raised on egg farms don't live in the best of conditions and they may have health issues requiring extra care. The majority of the hens don't have any health issues, but sadly there is a small percentage that may be adopted undiagnosed. Any vet care that may be needed in the future is the responsibility of the adopter.
