About Margot
Meet Margot also known as little Margot, Margot Bear or Margie!
She is a charming, loving and smoochy dog. She is perpetually curious, her teeth chatter when she's happy, oh and she LOVES a good sniff! She is gentle, playful and timid, we know you'll love her to bits!
Margot loves a sleep in, that's one thing you should know. And why not - if everyday can be the weekend, then that's all good for Margie!
So Margot’s perfect day starts with a big long sleep in, followed by a big breakfast, hopefully full of fishy delights! Then it's time for a post breakfast nap, a play with her toys and a gallop from one end of the house to another. Followed by another long nap and a treat in the afternoon!
Margot is also a bit of a hippo as she loves baths and her hydro therapy. She will happily lay down in water!
Margot would love a canine companion and a yard where she can leisurely go and sun bake, sniff and maybe have a little dig around! She would prefer having her people around more often than not but a canine companion would keep her happy, along with enrichment.
Margot is a wee bit uncertain of the outside world and doesn’t like to venture too far from what is familiar, over time her confidence and familiarity will build. Margot loves a car ride once she is familiar with the car. Every day is certainly a brand new day for sweet Margot!
Margot would like to have a special human or two all to herself. She is happy to share humans with another canine companion but she loves the attention!

If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $375.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
