About Tika Meowsala
Requirements:
Must meet all family members
Kids (any age)
No dogs
Inside only
Meet Tika Meowsala,
Tika Meowsala is a friendly, happy & outgoing girl who is suitable for first time owners. Tika is confident, curious & playful. She is a super social girl, extremely affectionate, and also quite chatty. She loves to try & get your attention any way that she can & she does this by meowing & pawing at the glass, when this doesn't work she'll resort to flopping (loudly) onto her bed, exposing her soft belly & doing little tricks until you find so completely irresistible.
Tika is suitable for any household environment as she is agreeable & easy-going. Tika is also open to meet kids of any age. Tika is fine to be picked up, carried & cuddled - she loves cuddles & attention. Loves being patted all over & love to engage with you.
Unfortunately, Tika is not suitable to live with dogs. She is very scared of them.
Tika previously lived with cats, in fact she came in with Purrfessor Minerva (ID: 11411) and she has also met some other cats in the cattery, too. From what we saw, Tika is a bit of an independent queen & will happily be the only cat in the home or co-exist with other cats that are also independent. While Tika adores attention, she prefers the attention to come from her human friends.
Tika is best to live indoors only. She did not like the cat park at all - it stressed her. We would encourage her new owners to keep her inside only so that she is stress free & content. Having her outside puts her at risk of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. Tika will happily be an indoor cat & most importantly will be safer being inside, too.
Tika has mid-range energy needs & like to play with her toys. Tika doesn't have a preference when it comes to toys, she loves them all.
Tika is not fussy with food – she loves all food on offer including treats.
Tika is also very clean and always uses her little tray.
Staff Comments: Tika is very confident & tries to get your attention by meowing & smooching the glass of her condo - if that doesn't work she will be force to resign to loudly flopping down on her bed, rolling over & doing cute tricks until you find her irresistible!

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
