About Purrfessor Minerva
Requirements:
Must meet all family members
Kids (any age)
Inside only
Meet Purrfessor Minerva,
Purrfessor Minerva is a gentle, friendly & happy girl who is suitable for first time owners. Minerva is a curious cat, she is playful, social & quite affectionate. Minerva is a chatty catty, she loves to talk to you about her day & she is well-known for her famous purrs.
Minerva is suitable for any household environment as she is agreeable & easy-going. When she is exploring the cattery she can be a teeny bit stubborn, but that is just because she is curious & gets a real kick out of having a good old adventure.
Minerva is open to meet kids of any age. She is soft, sweet & gentle likes being patted absolutely everywhere all over her body. Minerva is fine to be picked up, carried & cuddled & enjoys receiving pats at the same time! She cannot get enough attention from her human friends!
As we cannot test, we are unsure if Minerva would be suitable to live with dogs. this would be up to the discretion of her new owners. If Minerva is going to live with a dog we ask that her new owners do a slow, gradual introduction over days or weeks to ensure that both your dog & Minerva do not get stressed.
Minerva previously lived with cats, in fact she same in with Tika Meowsala (ID: 11412) and she has met some other cats in the cattery. She prefers independent cats as she has a little bit of an independent streak herself, she doesn't like cats that are super playful or get all up in her face. She will happily co-exist with another 'chill' cat.
Minerva is best to live indoors only. Although we took her photos in the cat park & she did seem semi content in there, she was also on high alert. We would encourage her new owners to keep her inside only so that she is stress free & content. Having her outside puts her at risk of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. Minerva will happily be an indoor cat & most importantly will be safer being inside, too.
Minerva has mid-range energy needs. She likes to play with toys & especially likes her rattle ball toys.
Minerva is not fussy with food – she loves all food on offer including treats but if she's exploring she won't be too eager for treats as the sights & sounds of the environment is far too mesmerising - she is also very clean, and always uses her little tray.
Staff Comments: Purrfessor Minerva is slightly shy but learning to be more confident. She loves to play, even by herself, with her collection of toys. She is fine to make cat friends but prefers them not to get in her face.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
