Meet King, a regal American Staffordshire Terrier with a heart as big as his name. At six years old, King has matured into a steadfast, loyal companion. Weighing in at 21kg, he's the perfect size for those who love big dogs with manageable energy.
King is looking for a family that appreciates his striking looks, intelligence, and loving nature. He enjoys one-on-one time with his humans and prefers to be the center of attention as the only pet in the household. Because of this deep bond he forms with people, King thrives in an environment where he can shower you with love and be adored in return.
A model passenger, King travels well in the car—perfect for families who enjoy road trips or visits to friends' homes. While he's not particularly fond of feline friends and would do best as the solo star among pets, he is great with children over 12, making him the ideal dog for families with older kids.
His new family would benefit from having a securely fenced yard to allow King the freedom to roam and play while keeping him safe. In turn, King will reward you with loyalty, enriching your life with his gentle, calm presence.
Living in Rockhampton, King is readily available to meet his future family, and we're happy to make arrangements to transport him to his new, loving home. His adoption fee of $395 includes desexing, microchipping, vaccinations, and worming.
King is eagerly waiting to be the loyal companion you’ve been searching for, ready to embark on a journey filled with shared adventures and cherished memories. Embrace the opportunity to make King a cherished member of your family today.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
