About Milo
Hi, my name is Milo. I am a senior in age, but don’t be fooled, I am very young at heart. At the ripe age of 11, I can still jump on the couch or on the bed all by myself, and I absolutely love going for a good walk. I love sniffing around and I walk fast.
I can pull a bit but my foster mom tells me that I am getting better now, and will improve with a little work from you. I still go a bit nuts when I see another dog; I like to bark at them, but at 5.7 kg, it’s not difficult to move me and help me to calm down. As soon as the dog is out of my sight, I forget about them and I start sniffing again
My other favorite thing in life is food! I love it so, so much! I will sit nicely and shake while waiting for my treat. As I currently live in an Italian household, I have developed a palate for breadsticks and Parmesan cheese!
I almost forgot, I love my person. Is that going to be you? I will follow you, snuggle up to you, I will be your little spoon, and play with you. Don’t worry, sometimes I like my space and will go to my bed if I have had enough cuddles.
I am house-trained. I sleep through the night in my bed next to your bed. My choice, however, would be to sleep next to your feet under the blanket. I can be left alone, but I much prefer being with my humans and would prefer to be the only pet in the household.
I can be a bit anxious and I take a little medication to help me with it. The vet said that after I settle in with my new family, I can go to a lower dose and be weaned off it once I am truly settled. When I feel anxious, I may lick myself excessively and act a bit nervous but after only two weeks in foster care, I am not showing any signs of anxiety. I only bark at dogs on walks or at people at the door, but as soon as they come in, I love them.
I would love to find my forever family, as I have so much love to give. All I ask is that you be patient with me and love me in return. I can’t wait to meet you! Love, Milo
