About Wick
Are you a fun-loving, active person? Well, Wick is a playful, intelligent companion just waiting to bring joy into your life!
Meet Wick, the delightful couch potato who embodies the spirit of adventure! This charming pup is all about finding the ideal balance between lazy cuddle sessions and energetic playdates. His infectious enthusiasm and friendly personality make him a great addition to any home.
Wick has come a long way from his puppy days. With some dedicated training and a little extra love, he transformed into an eager-to-please dog who thrives on exercise and enrichment. Tug-of-war, fetch, and brain games are his jam! Once he learned the joy of off-leash bushwalks, his spirit truly soared. He enjoys the simple pleasures of life, like lounging indoors or spending lazy afternoons basking in the sun.
Wick’s friendly nature truly sparkles as he bounds over to greet everyone with joyful jumps and wiggly excitement! He adores spending time with kids and thrives during supervised playtime (check out the cute videos of Wick on his profile!), bringing out his playful spirit. While he’s full of energy, Wick is just a big-hearted bundle of fun when he gets excited, so older kids or ones who enjoy active play would make a great match for his lively style!
Wick's ideal day involves morning walks or a lively game of fetch followed by lazy afternoons spent napping in his favourite spots. His personality lights up when he hears the crinkle of a treat bag or when his beloved ball rolls his way. And let’s not forget the adorable, funny noises he makes when he’s excited—guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!
Now, he’s looking for a home where he can be the star of the show—ideally with someone who understands his fun-loving nature. Wick would thrive in a place with a yard but is adaptable to various living situations, from bustling suburbs to calm rural settings. Just a heads up: he’s not a fan of swimming pools, so a home without one is best!
Although Wick has spent the last couple of years without doggy friends, he previously enjoyed hanging out with family and friends' dogs and is always keen on a game of fetch. He’s curious about other animals, so introductions to confident dog-savvy cats or other dogs should be done gradually to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Wick's warm-hearted nature and eagerness to play make him a great candidate for finding his place in a multi-pet home with the right introductions!
If you’re ready to share your life with a loving, loyal companion who brings a healthy mix of adventure and relaxation, Wick is here to make your heart swoon. He’s ready to fill your days with laughter, cuddles, and unforgettable memories. Could you be the right fit for this lovable goof? Arrange to meet Wick and discover the joy of having a furry friend by your side!
To get things started on the right paw, Wick's adoption fee also includes a training session with a qualified positive reinforcement trainer. This consultation will provide you with expert guidance to help Wick transition into his new home and ensure a happy and harmonious life together.
Medical notes
It's not uncommon for dogs to dislike trips to the vet, but darling Wick finds vet visits particularly overwhelming. Wick relies on his strong bond with his people to provide reassurance for veterinary procedures.
To give his adopter time to build that trust, and develop a plan with their vet to keep visits 'low-stress', Wick's current guardians have organised their house call vet to give Wick his booster vaccination before going to his new home.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
