Aurora

Meet Aurora, a sweet and bashful kitty looking for a patient and understanding adopter! She came to us undersocialized and timid, but she is making wonderful progress. With gentle chirps and a soft demeanor, Aurora is slowly starting to show her true self.

To help her settle in, it's essential to start in a small, quiet launch room before allowing exploration of the rest of the house. Aurora can easily become overwhelmed in large open spaces, so creating a calm environment is key. Providing scratch posts, cat trees, and cozy hides like cardboard boxes or igloos will give her ample safe spaces, both high and low.

We recommend Aurora for a home with teens or older children who can understand basic cat body language and know when to give her space. She has known other cats, though she has not been tested in the shelter. A slow introduction with plenty of room to move away is advised. Aurora may also do well in a home with a calm, social dog, as long as interactions are monitored.
