About Emma
Emma is a bit older than a lot of the other cats on here at almost 7 years old. She was surrendered under very sad circumstances: her loving owner, whom she’d been with since she was a kitten, is very unwell and, unfortunately, could no longer care for Emma. She has never lived with other animals before and has always been an indoor kitty.
Since the first day she came into care, Emma displayed a very friendly and inquisitive
nature, but was a bit wary of the new environment. She would wake from a nap
meowing, probably confused about the different surroundings and looking for
reassurance before settling down again. However, she’s been relaxing more and more
every day and now she’s even enjoying belly rubs. And there’s a LOT of belly! Emma
weighted 7.8kg, and although we’ve kick started her weight loss journey, she will always carry a soft jiggly pouch. Thankfully, she’s not obsessed with food and will sit by her bowl waiting patiently for her meals.
Emma is such an easy cat to care for: she only needs a soft bed (she loves a good
snuggle bed!), a window where she can observe the world from and a bit of
companionship. She would suit a calm home where she can get to enjoy the rest of life at her own pace and be helped losing a bit more weight so she can play for a little bit more and be a healthy happy girl. She would make an excellent companion for an older couple or single who want a fuss-free feline friend in their life.
