About Ginge
Hi there, I'm Ginge! I'm a 9-year-old senior cat with a gentle soul, and I'm on the lookout for a new forever home that's as calm and cozy as I am. I'm a pretty laid-back guy who enjoys a mix of companionship and alone time. If you want me to come out and keep you company, I'm all for it! But if you're busy or just want to chill, I'll be perfectly content lounging in my favorite spot for the day, catching some sun or dreaming about my kitten days.
Speaking of kitten days, I still have a playful side! I love climbing into a comfy bed and rolling around like I'm a kitten all over again. And while I do enjoy a good cuddle and don't mind being picked up for some love, I'm not really interested in being carried around like a teddy bear or attending tea parties-I'm a distinguished gentleman, after all. Because of that, I think older kids who know how to give me my space when I need it would be a perfect fit.
If you're wondering why you should adopt a senior cat like me, let me tell you: we're kind of the best-kept secret. We're past all that wild kitten energy, so you won't have to worry about us bouncing off the walls at 3 a.m. We're already house-trained, with our personalities fully developed, so what you see is what you get-no surprises here! Plus, senior cats are experts at relaxing and appreciating the little things in life, like a soft blanket, a warm lap, and a quiet evening spent together.
So, if you're looking for a calm and loving companion who's happy to hang out when you want and give you space when you don't, I just might be your purr-fect match. Come meet me, and let's see if we can spend our golden years together!
Love,
Ginge

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
