About Luna
Introducing Luna!
Luna is a Jack Russell x Pug x Long Haired Chihuahua born 21st March 2016.
Luna's owner sadly passed away in July this year and as her family were unable to keep her, they made the decision to rehome her. Unfortunately the person they rehomed to rehomed her to a close friend as Luna wasn't getting on with their existing dog. This new family then took Luna to a vet as an "unknown stray". When sweet little Luna was brought in to us, she was still microchipped to her deceased mum, so Dee did her thing & tracked down the lady's family. They were absolutely heartbroken to hear what Luna has gone through in the last few months, as she was the love of her owners life.
Luna's surrender profile states she is house trained, has no separation anxiety, is friendly with children & adult strangers, hasn't been tested with cats but is OK with other dogs.
Since being at the facility, Luna has been a very quiet girl who is a little shy when you first meet her but it doesn't take her long to warm up to you. She's incredibly sweet, affectionate & loves a back scratch. Luna will sit on your lap for a cuddle and she's quite good on lead.
Luna wasn't a big fan of other dogs when we did her testing, however we only have boisterous puppies & larger dogs to test with. While she may be more tolerant of small, calm dogs, for now we are recommending she be the only dog at home.
Luna is not suited to live with cats, however she was unfazed by our roosters, so she could be suitable to live with caged pocket pets.
Luna has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety while being at the facility.
Luna's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing & lifetime registration. Luna is up to date with her vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
