About Eva
Name: Eva
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: 20/04/2024
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: Black & White
Location: Port Pirie
Meet Eva, a delightful feline with a personality as vibrant as her appetite! This charming little lady is extremely food-motivated—food is her absolute passion. Whether it's the rich aroma of cooked steak and chicken or the tantalising flavors of tubey treats and Temptation crunchies, Eva is always ready for a delicious snack. Be prepared for her to become suspiciously affectionate when dinner time rolls around!
Eva is not only a food enthusiast, but she's also a lovable cuddle bug. Her favorite resting place is snuggled up on your chest rather than on your lap, preferring the closeness and warmth of being near your face. And let’s not forget her signature move: the enthusiastic headbutt. This sweet gesture, filled with love and excitement, is Eva's way of showing just how much you mean to her, sometimes with such fervor you might think she’s trying to get inside your face! 🤣 And be sure to watch for her adorably endearing tongue that playfully pokes out from time to time.
Eva is a chatty companion, greeting you with an enthusiastic symphony of trills and purrs. She knows her name well and will respond to it with a tip-tap of her paws, as well as respond to kissing noises and a few clicks of your fingers. Though she may seem shy on first introduction, once she warms up, she’s a joyful and affectionate companion, as her foster mom can attest.
Beware of her sudden belly roll! While it might seem like an invitation for rubs it IS a trap - Eva can be quite particular about belly rubs and does not really appreciate them.
If you're seeking a cat with character, who combines playfulness, affection, and a love for food, Eva could be your perfect companion. From sharing your bed chest-level, and giving you love bumps, to the delight of watching her tongue poke while having a snack, Eva will surely capture your heart.
People describe me as: A sweetheart, quirky, loveable, playful, inquisitive, cuddle bug, dainty, chatty.
How am I with dogs? Untested but I think they would scare me
How am I with cats? I can take awhile to warm up to other cats due to being bullied previously. So I may hiss and growl to protect myself. Please note that I have never lashed out or attacked another cat, I do this to try and scare them away. Any other cats in the house would need to be non reactive to this and patient. Once I realise that the cats pose no threat, I get along well with them but this may take some time and a slow introduction. I will need a space where only I can access so I can retreat to where I feel safe while this happens.
How am I with kids? I get along well with calm and patient cat savvy children 8 years + who aren’t grabby and will allow me to come to them. Yummy treats will ensure we are friends in no time.
My purrfect home is: An indoor only home or with outdoor enclosure. Somewhere patient where I will be given time to come out of my shell where I will be showered in love, treats and cuddles.
Eva's adoption fee is $140 which includes desexing, microchipping, parasite prevention, and F3 vaccination.
