Introducing Magnus, a relaxed and easygoing guy ready to bring warmth and affection into your life. While he may be a bit hesitant initially, Magnus simply needs a little time to acclimate to his new surroundings and family. Once settled, his true affectionate and playful nature shines through, making him a delightful family member for those willing to offer patience and love.
Magnus is admirably adaptable, and his gentle demeanor allows him to thrive in a household that includes respectful children or a fellow feline. If you already have a cat, Magnus would do best with a calm and easygoing female as his feline companion. Remarkably versatile with his social skills, Magnus has even lived happily with a dog, provided they are feline-friendly.
Indoor only-bound due to his delicate nose and ears needing protection from the sun, Magnus thrives in an environment where he can soak up all the love and play he desires without worry.
Medical notes
Grade 3 Heart Murmur.
During routine examinations at CPS, a heart murmur was detected.
Studies of heart murmurs in cats have been limited but have shown approximately 20% of randomly selected, apparently healthy cats will have a heart murmur. (The Cat, S. Little, 2012) 50% of cats with heart murmurs do not have identifiable cardiac disease and live comfortable lives for many years. In contrast, some cats have heart disease but do not have a murmur. Some murmurs are transient (which means they
come and go). This occurs most often with fear or stress and is generally not associated with any structural heart disease.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
