About Bix
Meet the sweet and handsome, Bix!
Bix has had a bit of a rough go of it lately and is ready to find a comfortable and loving home where he can really start living his best life.
Bixy boy was surrendered to the Lost Dogs Home through no fault of his own and in a rough way. When he came into our care our vets checked him out and found he had a severe injury on his back left leg which meant that it, unfortunately, had to be amputated.
After some TLC from our wonderful vets and spending some time in foster care to recover, he is doing so much better and now can't wait to find his forever family!
Despite all of that, this lovely fella hasn't lost his spark for life. He is a true sweetheart and gentleman with the most silky soft coat! He has a lot of love to give but may need some time to build his confidence in the home; though, we know that once he settles in he will be the loveliest companion. He is very independent and gets around no problem on three legs, but also loves attention and loooves cuddles and smooches.
His original injury came about partially because he was severely overweight, he has since been on a diet and is doing fantastically (1.5kg down!), but he needs a family that is committed to continue his weight loss journey to protect this cutie's other legs!
If you want to give this three-legged boy a second chance and show him how wonderful life can be, come and meet him in our North Melbourne shelter today!
