About Drusilla and Spike
We at Home2Home believe everyone deserves the joy that cat guardianship brings! We love seeing wonderful cats matched with loving adopters, and we don’t want adoption fees to be a barrier to you bringing a loving cat into your heart and home. So if Drusilla and Spike sound like the cats for you, we ask you to nominate your own adoption fee amount. There is no minimum or maximum amount required, and all adoption fees continue to fund PetRescue’s life-saving programs that support pets and people!
Looking to add a little extra love and charm to your home? Spike and Drusilla are a bonded mother-daughter duo ready to steal your heart with their unique blend of independence, affection, and a touch of fun!
Meet Drusilla, the quiet and gentle mum to Spike. She loves her peaceful moments under the bed and chirps softly in her sleep when she’s feeling cosy. Dru is a sensitive soul who takes a little time to warm up to pats, but with a consistent and confident person who knows when to gently encourage her, she soon leans in, enjoying all the affection.
One of her favourite pastimes is accompanying you to the bathroom, where she’ll lay at your feet, blink up at you, and wait for some tender pats. And if you hear her soft chirping as she dozes off? That’s her way of showing she feels safe and relaxed.
Then there’s Spike, Drusilla’s playful and affectionate daughter. Spike brings fun and charm to every moment. She’s a cuddle enthusiast – though on her own terms, of course! Spike adores pats and will happily climb onto your lap, giving you her version of love, which might include a playful head bump or two. And just when you think she’s settled, she’ll make you smile with her little dash across the room. Spike is the type to keep you entertained with her personality, following you around and chirping for attention.
Together, they’re a bonded pair who adore each other. Spike and Drusilla love snuggling up for naps, playing together, and bringing joy to the home. Adopting them means embracing a duo who balance each other out – the calm and the playful, the easygoing and the affectionate.
If you’re looking for two loving companions who will fill your home with joy and affection, Spike and Drusilla are ready to bring their gentle charm into your life. Are you ready to open your heart to this special mother-daughter duo?

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
