About Kora
Meet Kora, a sweet and spirited German Shepherd who is looking for a special, understanding home. She originally came into care for what was meant to be short-term respite while her owners recovered from a family crisis. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, they were unable to take her back, leaving Kora in need of stability and care.
Kora has been through a lot in recent months. She was left alone in a backyard for a week, with only brief visits for feeding, as her family’s house was not safe to live in. Shortly after, she moved to another home but likely escaped and ended up in a pound for a week. She has since been in care and has settled in well with her current foster family.
This beautiful girl thrives in a calm and consistent environment. Kora needs a patient and experienced owner, ideally someone with rescue or German Shepherd experience, who understands her need for stability.
Kora wasn’t exposed to other dogs prior to coming into care, so she’s still learning how to interact with them. She is strong on lead and can bark at other dogs, but with guidance and patience, she has the potential to improve her manners.
Despite everything, Kora’s personality shines through—she’s a funny, cheeky dog who loves to play, enjoys zoomies, and brings joy to those around her. She’s up to date with all her vet work, including vaccinations, desexing, a dental clean, and flea, tick, and worm treatments.
Kora needs a home where she can be the only pet, with no children under 12 years of age or other small animals. She’s best suited to a household where her new family can spend time getting her settled into her new home and routine, and she must be an indoor-only dog with supervised outdoor time (6ft colorbond fencing).
We are currently engaging in getting training for her to ensure she has the best chance of a successful rehome.
If you’re looking for a loyal and loving companion and are ready to give Kora the stable, nurturing home she deserves, please get in touch or reach out for more information at adoptpar@gmail.com. This sweet girl is ready to become your best friend and lifelong companion.🧡🐾

Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
Please always provide a contact phone number as a part of your enquiry.
