About Bruce - 7 Month Old Beagle (Trial)
Bruce is a loving and energetic 7 month old Beagle who likes nothing more than to sniff his way around the neighbourhood, meeting dogs along the way. He is happy, social and loves to snuggle on your lap, although he is a rather large lap dog at 20kg. He has long legs for the Beagle breed.
Bruce is a smart fellow and super quick learner – he sits on command and is working on recall. He loves going in the car to the dog park and will happily play with dogs large and small without any issues. He just needs to learn that some dogs aren’t social like him and might not want to join in the fun.
He needs an active family with older children, 10 years and over who will take him on long walks, adventures and provided with enrichment activities. His family will take him to the dog park and continue his training, he thrives on adventure and routine. Bruce is working on sitting still on picnics and at the café.
Bruce sleeps through the night in his bed without any fuss and has started crate training where chews a bone for short periods. He is toilet trained and has not had an accident in foster care, he goes to the door when he wants to go out. He previously lived with a cat but hasn’t been tested while in foster care. Bruce would love a friendly older dog to learn from or would be ok as only dog with someone home a lot with time to train and enrich his life.
Bruce is a loving dog who is always willing to please and will be a great asset to his forever home with a family who are willing to commit to a lifetime with Beautiful Bruce.
