About Vivid Stands Out
Vivid may have had a tough start in life, but she’s ready to shine! Having spent her first five months with little exposure to the big wide world, Vivid had some catching up to do. Thankfully, she has been in the loving hands of a professional animal trainer and has made incredible progress. With the support of a cool cat and a confident Chihuahua in her foster home, Vivid has been learning a lot, but she still needs a special human who understands canine behavior and is dedicated to continuing her training journey.
Though she’s petite, don’t let her size fool you—Vivid is bursting with fun and love! One of her biggest passions is food, and she thrives on a Big Dog raw mix diet. Given the choice, she’ll always pick raw over kibble, so it’s essential that her new home continues this diet to keep her happy and healthy!
Vivid is a Mini American Shepherds, which are in a nutshell pint size Aussie Shepherds and it's important to remember that they posses very similar traits to their larger counterparts, so do some research on both breeds to make sure they're the right fit. Vivid currently weighs 7kg and likely won't grow larger than 15kg.
Her Ideal Home:
Vivid thrives best in a peaceful, quiet environment. Busy areas or apartment living might be too overwhelming for her, so she dreams of a home with a spacious backyard where she can stretch her legs and run freely. Loud sounds make her anxious, and she’s still working on her confidence around busy roads. Ideally, Vivid would love to live in a calm neighborhood or a rural setting where she can feel safe and truly enjoy her surroundings. It's also essential that her forever home has an existing (ideally male) confident, well adjusted dog, Vivid really thrives when she has a buddy who can show her the ropes.
Energy Level:
As a working breed, Vivid has a ton of energy and loves to stay mentally and physically active! She needs more than just a trip to the park for a game of fetch—she thrives on challenges and new experiences. Vivid would be amazing at dog sports like agility, flyball, or scent detection. Dog parks aren’t her scene; she prefers activities that keep her focused and engaged, where she can show off her skills!
Suitability to Children:
While Vivid has spent some time around children during her socialization training, she feels more at ease when they keep their distance and don’t interact with her directly. She would be much happier in a home without children, where she can feel truly comfortable and stress-free.
Suitability to Other Pets:
Vivid currently shares her home with a cat and a male Chihuahua, and they’ve become great friends! She has worked hard to resist her instincts to chase, and now she loves spending time with her feline buddy—sometimes even letting him practice his hunting moves on her during playtime! If you have a playful cat who enjoys hanging out with dogs, Vivid would be the perfect match!
When it comes to other dogs, Vivid has met many different sizes and ages, and with proper introductions, she gets along well—as long as they respect her space. Her Chihuahua buddy has shown her that the world isn’t as frightening as it first seemed, so Vivid would do best in a home with a calm, easy-going (ideally) male dog who can continue to help her feel safe.

All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
