About Tess
Meet Tess, a 6-year-10-month-old Staghound mix with an extra-large size and an even bigger heart. Tess has a gentle, timid nature and is a bit wary of the world, likely due to a lack of exposure or positive experiences during her younger years. Despite her cautious demeanor, Tess is incredibly sweet and wants to connect with people and other dogs, but she just needs time to warm up.
At first, Tess can be quite reserved, often keeping to herself, but she shows interest in interacting. Once she realizes that there’s no threat, she relaxes, calmly soaking up affection and love. She’s a very patient dog and would do wonderfully in a home that can match her pace and give her the time she needs to feel secure.
Although Tess is reserved, she can have issues with things she is not familiar with, whether that be reflections, strangers, or animals. To combat this, we recommend a quiet house with little distractions so Tess can be the best dog she can be.
